Today, I practiced what I’ve been preaching and listened to my body. Yesterday I was going up and down quite a few stairs to get from one train to another train, then to a bus to get home from the cemetery. In addition to that, my dad’s tombstone is located on a hill of the cemetery, so we have to trek upwards, which I felt in my glutes, quads, and hamstrings and soul.
Once you’re up there, you are standing with your feet on an incline, which stretches your calves but also required a lot of foot and toe strength, so my little piddies were feeling it!
Soo…this morning I did 18 minutes on the glider and that was all she wrote for today. Did I want to do more. YES I really did, but I was feeling a bit of a twinge later on and felt a bit swollen underneath my toes, so I decided to just tap out for the day and I’m okay with that because I did do something to get the blood flowing this morning. Most importantly, I’m watching out for me. Resting more today means I may have more to give tomorrow. Or another day this week. Until tomorrow!
