Fitness Check In Day 35

As I mentioned in my motivational video today, the past few days have been a bit tough.  Between the physical exhaustion and being in a funk mentally, it was hard to push through, which led me to just stay in bed yesterday.  Also the high fiber diet was messing with my stomach hardcore so any energy I had, was wiped out after running to the loo.

Today, I dug deep to get myself out of bed, thought about my end goal and got on that mat to do DDPYOGA.  This time, I did Energy 2.0.  I felt the pain and discomfort in my hips, back, neck, wrists, bumps, legs… basically all over.  I modified using blocks, and holding some movements a second or two shorter, but I finished.  I then felt that while my joints and bone were rusty and creaky, I still had enough in me to ahead and do Red Hot Core Classic.  This is another workout that I haven’t done in at least a year and like it’s name, is centered on the core which I need.  To my surprise, I was able to do most of the movements at least in the modified position.  My legs were heavy, and my core was shaky, but I completed this workout as well.  The feeling I got afterward, lifted my spirits and that is a wonderful feeling and a great way to end this holiday weekend.

My main goal of staying active, I’m proud to say is coming along nicely. So far since I started over a month ago, I have missed only a handful of days. Not too shabby! I did check the calendar and saw that Comic Con is just about 3 months away now! I am getting excited about this, but I won’t get overeager to do more fast. Nope not this time. Slow and steady will get me to my goal this time.

Another day of exercise checked off in my calendar!! Kudos to me for climbing out of that black hole to continue my pursuit to health!!
