Fitness Progress Check-In Day 13

After worrying about how I would wake up this morning after doing the yoga for IBS that I haven’t done in over a year, I woke up pleasantly surprised that I was a bit sore, but did not re-injure myself in any way with this workout. I was disappointed, however that I was completely and utterly wiped out again.

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m no stranger to feeling exhausted. Fatigue is very common with IBS, gastritis and subluxation, so when you have all three, you count your blessings and do what you can when you do have the energy.

Today I succumbed to the exhaustion once again and went back to bed in hopes that I would be able to get on the glider after dinner at least for 10 or 15 minutes as I did yesterday. However, today was just not meant to be. The subluxation/pain in my back and neck have been getting worse due to not being able to go to the chiropractor in almost year, and the dizziness has also increased due to subluxation in the sternocleidomastoid muscle, which is responsible for functions like tilting your head, rotating your head, and breathing to name a few.

Due to all of this, the best thing was to see if a quick walk outside would help. The air was cooler, so I did help a little bit to shake off the cobwebs from my noggin, but after 15 minutes, I was already gassed, so I came home at dinner and just plopped on the sofa where I am now writing this. I think today I will count my quick venture outside as a win and give my body some rest. I truly hope that tomorrow is better and will try and figure out a plan B, C and D to get my muscles moving depending on where my body is at in the days to come.
