Fitness Progress Check-In Day 11

Before I started a set exercise schedule last month, I had soo many days, weeks where I was utterly wiped out. Since I started up again, the days where I was too dog-tired to do anything were becoming less and I noticed I was able to push through the exhaustion which was very encouraging. Today I thought would be the exception. I woke up at 6am wiped out and washed my face with super cold water which usually helps, but not even that did it for me. My whole body felt like dead weight..so I went back to bed until I had to start work.

The entire morning and early afternoon I was just slouched in front of my computer trying to keep my eyes open with a monster migraine setting in and a temperamental stomach. It was one of those days where calling in sick would have helped, but today that was not an option. So I pushed through the day at least with work, and while I wanted to get on that glider, the exhaustion was soo bad today I didn’t even get out of my chair. I know that I could chalk this day up to a rest day, but my workouts aren’t that complicated or strenuous for me to take a day, and doing so lately, even for 1 day, leaves me feeling like the tin man the day after. It’s a cycle that I don’t want to get back into so after dinner with that thought in mind, I got on the glider and completed 20 minutes after and then rushed through 30 reps with the resistance bands before sprinting to the porcelain throne again. Who knows what has triggered my stomach this time. What I ate, didn’t eat….The fact that the WWE released R Truth? The air?

With IBS and gastritis, similar to a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get as far as issues that day. With the weather warming up, I have more chances to go to the track and enjoy the sun, but the hot weather will also make those issues more unpredictable than it is the rest of the year.

Until tomorrow, time to watch Smackdown and while I’m definitely pooped (pun intended), I’m proud I pushed was able to push through the exhaustion and continue my daily routine.
