Last night I began getting pain all over my body. My back, head, legs, neck, arms and shoulders were aching bad enough I thought I’d have to take Tylenol. Taking Tylenol is nothing bad of course if you take it as indicated, but I am not a fan of taking anything if I can help it. I also wanted to test myself to see if the pain would go away. It was hard to fall asleep, but sure enough this morning, I was fine. No pain in the joints, bones or muscles. Just the nagging discomfort and pain in my stomach. So I just put the heating pad on for 10 minutes on my stomach and was then ready for DDPYoga Stand Strong II again.
Towards the end of the workout, I was actually able to do standing forward fold which didn’t irritate my intestines/stomach! For my lunch hour I went to my chiropractor and got the adjustment I soo desperately needed. Afterwards I ran into two different women who needed help with directions and I took the time to guide them to the train they needed to get to. I love helping people and I had the energy to do it which felt really nice. I haven’t had this much energy to do much of anything so I was beaming after this.
After dinner I felt like utter crap however. I ate my small portion of bland chicken and some plantains and bloated up like a puffer fish. I went out for a walk and felt horrible and then the vertigo hit me. Thankfully my brother was with me so we walked back home from the grocery store and I’m now sitting down with a heat pad on my stomach and an ice pack on my neck. I know it’s going to take a while for me to get out of this and I have come a long way in two weeks, but the pain is really draining. Now I can complain about having to eat baby food and bland chicken, but at least I can eat something. At least I am now able to add that peanut butter cereal that is low in fat to my list of foods. I purchased Corn Pops too today and hope to be able to add that to my list as well. With each obstacle that comes my way, a fire and desire to figure out how to overcome it arises. (after crying and cursing about it of course…I am human after all)
I may be going at a snails pace, but at least I’m going and that is enough. Until next time my Phoenixes!! Remember to count the wins, the small ones, medium sized ones and big ones! You deserve to celebrate how far you’ve come. Be kind and patient with yourself and don’t forget…You’ve Got This!!
