In my last post I mentioned the latest stomach issues I have had which started the first week of August. I went to urgent care after being turned away from my primary doctor who didn’t have the time to order tests, and my current gastro who was on vacation. Since then, I had the stool samples with a new gastro referred to me by urgent care where the tests came back normal but the issues still persist. I also finally had a chance to talk to my usual gastro doctor on August 31st who came back from vacation. She ordered stool tests and bloodwork. She tested my pancreas, calprotectin levels, calprotectin, c-diff, cyclospora, CBC including electrolytes, thyroid. All all which came back normal except for high magnesium and cholesterol which I knew already. So yet the things we were worries about being normal, is good but frustrating because I still have no answers. However the other parasites were not tested so that is another week I have to wait to get that tested. She has also ordered a CT scan w/oral contrast to see my organs or whatever.
The same week on 09/01 I started DDPY Beast Mode which is a program designed for you to do DDPYoga everyday for 90 days documenting your workouts, meals and steps taken each day with the goal to improve on your diet, workouts and overall physical health. I joined because I had the positive mindset that even if I had to do chair force gently, I’d be able to do something but that has not been the case. I figured I’d wasted $90 on a program I won’t be able to do but I’m still hanging in there. So far I have missed about 2 days of check ins and 6 days of workouts. I did Stand Strong I and I felt it. I did it super gently but I felt dizzy all day. Thanks to this program I now know why. You have to log what you eat on an app called Cronometer and in doing so I realized thanks to my digestive issues, I am now down to eating anywhere between 1000 calories or less. This means my poor body does not have the fuel it needs to even get through the day. Anything I eat is just to keep my body alive at this point. I can eat Yucca, boiled chicken with salt, boiled potatoes, ground beef, string beans, fresh bread and protein waffles and right now that’s it. Other veggies are soo expensive I can’t incorporate those in my diet for now. The past few weeks I have cried more than I have in a long time. The frustration, the exhaustion, the wondering, the lack of answers just wash over me like a burning wave filled with hopelessness. My list of foods was already small and now eggs, cheese, peanuts, anything with flavor is off the menu.
I have done everything right in the past few months after stopping the PPI so I have no idea where this new issue came from or what it is. I’m tired. There have been days where I can barely lift my arm and hands to type much although I have had to push myself for work which thankfully doesn’t require as much typing as writing a blog entry, but still drained me at the end of the day. To try and get some nutrients in me, my brother suggested baby food which I have so far been able to tolerate and was a good idea as the portions are small and the food is bland. However now I know why the poor babies make those scrunchy faces that make you laugh. The food tastes ugh, but it’s an ugh I can tolerate so I am VERY GRATEFUL.
Yesterday I slept most of the day, but late afternoon, I went outside to get some fresh air and I was as dizzy as I was last year around this time. My subluxation is at an all time high so I have to go back to the chiropractor next week, but the calorie intake is what I’m concerned with to keep my energy levels up.
Today I have a sound bath session which I hope will relax me and maybe give me some energy. Usually I never go in expecting anything other than to relax, but this particular practitioner I used to go but moved to another studio was good and I always felt the vibrations during his sessions and left there with energy to spare so I’m hoping that is the case today.
Until next time my Phoenixes, this time I ask for good thoughts from whoever reads this. I need them right now. At least Alexa has a sense of humor, I told her to play uplifting music and the first song she plays is Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” yep sounds about right.
