Fitness Check In Day 99: Vertigo, Stomach Upset and Beast Mode

Today I woke up raring to go since I actually slept 7 hours last night. Sooo I decided to up the ante in the DDPYoga workouts for the Beast Mode program and did Stand Strong III which was a little over 30 minutes long. 10 more minutes than Stand Strong II and II and a a bit more taxing on my body, but I am a stubborn mule so I wanted to challenge myself today. About 10 minutes in I was feeling bold so I went hard on the dynamic resistance movements like ‘hulk it up’, bicep curls (without using weights) and Dr Rows. What was the result of this? Same kind of vertigo I had last year. The more I moved the worse it got because going hard exacerbates the subluxation in my neck (which the pillow again this year has made worse)

Then at the 27 minute mark, I was feeling gassed so I had no choice but to listen to my body stop being stubborn, ease off the dynamic resistance and modify the rest the workout. When the workout ended, I did feel excited, proud and elated because this is day 7 in a row of me actually doing a workout and getting through the day with only feeling vertigo and only 40% pain instead of 80%. The vertigo sucks bad, because I feel foggy and my head feels like a bobblehead throughout the day, but I have the energy to push through the day. Not feeling pain and discomfort in the intestines from working out is a bonus. The more I am doing this the more I am feeling the tightening on the pelvic floor, but I am now able to do the physical therapy stretches with a little more ease than before which helps me longer before I have to use the Therawand.

The point of all this is to keep going, get stronger and finally get out of deconditioning to start building muscle. I’m already starting to feel a little bit more energy throughout the day, for example, today I went out after work quickly to purchase groceries and came back to hop on a meeting with the Goddess Circle which touched on Mindfulness Meditation. It was fascinating and I was excited because I hadn’t been able to hop on with the girls in a while and today I had some energy to. Even though at night I nod off while watching tv, I know that eventually to the point where I have energy all day into the night. It hasn’t been easy. My stomach is better, I am eating more than 1000 calories now, but I’m not 100 percent. Not even close. Everytime I eat my stomach starts it’s own talkathon with gurglings and bloat, even when I’m eating plain old chicken, but I started taking enzyme pills to see if those will help until I can get the CT Scan done and hopefully get some answers there. The point is even though I’m starting yet again from square 1, I am pushing forward again and will continue to keep going because I deserve to live a healthy fruitful life. I want to heal so I can help others do the same.

Until next time my Phoenixes. Remember, you are brave and you are enough, pat yourself on the back for getting up this morning, for completing that task!!! You can do this!!!
