Yesterday I said I was going to easy when doing DDPYoga and also mentioned how I was hungry, but lost my appetite. What I didn’t say was that I needed to practice a little bit of patience in this whole process. Remind myself that I can’t expect to be normal or okay just from one sound healing session. I tend to push myself sometimes too quickly too fast when I feel good, or am pain free because I automatically think, ‘okay I’m better, let’s not waste this day!’
Today is a good example of me pushing it. This morning I was dying to get my DDPY Stand Strong in, but since my body wasn’t doing well with Stand Strong I due to the number of bended twists, I figured I’d just move ahead to Stand Strong II which is longer and was crossing my fingers it didn’t have that many twists. I was thrilled to see it didn’t have that many twists that would aggravate my stomach, and some of the moves were a bit tough for me, towards the end, I went hard with the dynamic resistance in the Hulk it Up move. As I am typing this I am shaking my head at my stubbornness and disregard of my own body. Despite this indiscretion on my part, I finished the workout and was pleased with myself LOL. I also did some physical therapy exercises to stretch my pelvic floor, legs and back which felt great. I didn’t feel the dizziness after any of this immediately, but when I went to my chiropractor during my lunch hour, I DID indeed feel the same dizziness and fog I felt last year when I was low on D3, severely subluxated and dealing with deconditioning…much like now except I’m okay with the D3, I’m just low on my calorie intake aside from the other two issues I’m still dealing with.
The adjustment was just delicious…my neck cracked nicely as did the left side of my lower back. I felt like I got the power turned on as my awesome chiropractor says. I left his office and still did feel some dizziness but figured I had some time and walked 7 blocks to Trader Joe’s…walking slowly and gaging whether or not I should hop on the bus to go home or continue on. I opted to walk in the shade which helped and I made it to Trader Joe’s to get some much needed items like Coconut Aminos to flavor the foods once I get better, nutritional yeast flakes because they also add a bit of flavor and are a good source of B12. I also got edamame because these are the best kind I have ever tasted and never had a bad reaction to them. I have to say though I did regret it a little bit because the bags were a bit heavy. Thankfully the train station is across the street, but I practiced some patience with myself and walked slowly and carefully crossing the street and going down the stairs. Since the train was packed, I did stand, but was happy that I actually was able to do so. I called my brother to pick me up at the station though because I knew that my body had done enough.
I got home and am happy to say that I was ravenous and was able to satisfy that hunger by eating the whole plate!!! I am exhausted and I did burn a total of 288 calories today between the DDPY and the walking, so I am trying to make that up by eating as much as I can in small portions here and there so that I’m not screwing myself.
The good thing to focus on today? I did DDPYoga a 3rd day in a row, got my steps in already and later on will pull the lever in the Beast Mode app to complete the food log which means I have another complete day in the books for the Beast Mode 90 day program!!!
Despite still being a bit dizzy, feeling the bloating and gurgling in my stomach, and pain in my body, I am still owning it and that is something. Now it’s on to dinner with the hopes I will eat all of what’s on my plate and then a little snack later this evening. Another day in the books for me!!!
Until next time my Phoenixes, practice a bit of patience with yourself and don’t forget to give yourself kudos for the little things you do. You got up out of bed? Great! You took a shower? Excellent! You walked 5 blocks, AMAZING! Keep going and celebrate those little wins!!
