Fitness Check In Day 102: Tired, Stiff, Sore but Content

We are now at Day 25 of the Beast Mode 90 Day Program and today is the 10th consecutive day I have done DDPYoga. I over the moon that’s it’s been over a week so far. I really didn’t think I’d be able to keep going and would have to go back to Bedflex, which is not a bad thing at all, all of these workouts are awesome, but I wanted to challenge my body and do more. Today I woke up early as usual and decided to do Stand Strong III again to see if it would be easier today as I had no vertigo this morning.

The workout itself was hard, but easier than the last time. I was careful not go hard on some of the dynamic resistance moves, and modified where needed. To my surprise and excitement, I was able to do forward fold today towards the end of the workout! My intestines weren’t as inflamed so I took advantage and did this move so I could stretch my lower back, hamstrings and calves a bit which have been getting tighter after the workouts and the constant sitting for work. It felt amazing and I fueled myself afterwards with protein waffles and a banana to give me energy to tackle the rest of my day.

I took a late lunch and went for a walk to get my steps in, which I keep changing to a higher number on the Beast Mode app. I started at 1000 then have kept going up from there. Today I did a total of 3,145 steps which is lower than Wednesday but higher than yesterday. My goal is to do more than 2000 at the very least for now. Training myself this way, will make it easier for me come NYC Comic Con next month. I am finally on the road to getting out of deconditioning!!!!

As far as my stomach…well I am eating more which is a major PLUS! I started taking enzyme pills to see if these would help ease that problem and I have to say that it did. It didn’t help me when I tried to eat the eggs or spam, but as far as regular safe bland food it quieted that incessant intestinal chatter. Only thing is I was bit backed up I felt yesterday and this morning, so no enzyme pills for me to see if it’s that or if it’s the hypertonic pelvic floor issue. You really have to play detective sometimes when you are dealing with a lot of health issues, so you can pinpoint why you feel the way you feel and what is it exactly that caused it. It can get exhausting, but hey you can’t leave this kind of stuff to some of the doctors these days, because not everyone will take the time or even bother to lift a finger for you. Even with the rumblings and bloat, I ate well and hit over 1500 calories which is just PERFECTION for me! But after a half hour of finishing my meal, my stomach bloated like a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day balloon and I was gassed and ready to travel via my toot-mobile afterwards. At least there is no aroma, it’s just air, but it’s a very uncomfortable feeling. I still have no answer from the insurance company so it may just be Christmas when I finally get that CT scan done.

I will try again on Monday to see if I can get an answer and approval, but for now, I will say it has been a very productive week. I’m tired, sore and stiff from now stretching, but I am very very content. I kept a good track of my calories, added the foods I can, got my steps in and did my workouts so tonight I will just relax, watch WWE Smackdown and most likely go to bed early (my eyelids are already heavy) so I can catch up on sleep (the hot flashes make it hard to stay asleep sometimes)

Until next time my Phoenixes!! Take care of yourself, pamper yourself when you can and make sure you’re getting enough sleep, be kind to yourself and others.
